‘Gorgeously styled and seductively expressed with nuances of dark berry, baking spice, cured meat, and fine oak. The palate exhibits excellent focus and flow, wonderfully framed by layers of polished tannins, finishing impressively long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2035.’

‘A reserve style that goes deep into the heart of Pinot Noir seeking out complexity. It comes to the glass slowly, a youthful work in progress that benefits from a few swishes of air. Enjoy the earthiness that follows on the scent of undergrowth, briar with black cherry, plum, dusty cacao, mint and game. Time in the glass sees a melding of its many attributes, including an earthy-leathery savouriness starting to emerge. Matured in French oak with accompanying silky tannins on show, it remains pretty tightly wound yet with a lovely juiciness. Altogether, both expansive, open hearted and complex. Quite a thing in one so young.’

‘The best of the Lambrook Pinot Noirs, there was an incredible consistency with a cedar and pine needle presence in all three.
Red plums, blackcurrants, dark cherries and a flash of strawberries, the finer frame and gliding presence is quite obvious when sitting all three side by side. A feathering of warmth lurks in the background (note this is 13% alc), but the shape and flow certainly stands tall alongside its siblings. Those red fruits tick away respectably and I suspect this will look even better alongside some food. Drink to five years.’
