Our Shiraz is hand-picked from a small parcel of fruit. It is then open fermented in 100% French oak, 30% of which is new. It gives depth of flavour and a lingering finish. Smooth and warm on the palate.

Hypnotic aromas of peppered steak, Ironbark, red peppercorns, char and dried herbs all work together to get you in the mood. Savoury driven, dark cherries, dense plums and red berries seek your favour. Delicately spiced and long, the fruit has a gravitating depth and complexity as it leaves some earthy and dark chocolate notes to consider. Long and moreish, what a beauty and well-priced to boot! Drink to five years+’

‘Note at first the vivid purple colour of this Hills Shiraz, which telegraphs what follows in its bright blueish floral nasals, top-noting subtle woody bush floor characters underneath. Palate-wise it’s all about fresh plum and dark-cherry fruit flavours, backed in by subtle French oak spicing courtesy of 30% new barrel treatment. A solid wine without being heavy or over-bearing – good looking Hills Shiraz.’
